For those who are seeking distinctive accents for cabinets or that special piece of furniture, Notting Hill’s hardware is now being selected for decorative furniture inlays by custom woodworkers, cabinetmakers and home remodelers. Two examples are shown below.

Solid bronze “Prairie Tulip” Knobs were integrated into the design of both the tabletop and legs of this MacIntosh style, dining room table. These beautiful accent pieces were inlaid into a narrow cocobolo surround, adding a very eye-catching touch to this furniture centerpiece. The stems were left on the knobs to help secure the inlays to the table with small wing nuts.
“Crane Dance” knobs and pulls adorn the custom cherry woodwork of this home office. That same knob design was also used for plinth inlays in a number of different locations throughout the office. These final-touch castings give continuity to the layout of the room as they top-off the regal look of the cabinetry. In this case, the stems were easily cut-off from the backside and the faceplates were applied into recesses using an adhesive.
Pricing
If the stems are left intact, unit costs are the same as the pricing given for all hardware. If you request the stems to be removed at the factory, there is a $1.00 upcharge per unit (list). 2-tone "Crane Dance" inlay is a special order item and requires upcharge.
